- 1 ½ cups (222g) all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- ½ teaspoon fine sea salt
- ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- â…“ cup (67g) granulated sugar
- 3 tablespoons (42g) unsalted butter, melted
- ½ cup (128g) unsweetened applesauce
- ¼ cup (60ml) milk of your choice
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 large apple, peeled and diced
- For the Glaze:
- 1 ½ cups (180g) powdered sugar
- 2–3 tablespoons milk of your choice
Instructions
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, fine sea salt, and ground cinnamon.
- In another bowl, mix granulated sugar into the melted butter. Add the applesauce, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Combine the wet mixture with the dry ingredients, folding gently until just combined. Fold in diced apple pieces.
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) and lightly spray the basket with cooking spray.
- Using a ¼-cup scoop, drop batter into the basket, allowing space for expansion.
- Air fry the fritters for 5-6 minutes, or until golden brown.
- While the fritters cool, whisk together powdered sugar and milk until smooth for the glaze.
- Drizzle the glaze over warm fritters before serving.
