Description

Delicious and quick Air Fryer Apple Fritters that combine crispy texture with juicy apple pieces, flavored with cinnamon and topped with a sweet glaze.


Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups (222g) all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon fine sea salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • â…“ cup (67g) granulated sugar
  • 3 tablespoons (42g) unsalted butter, melted
  • ½ cup (128g) unsweetened applesauce
  • ¼ cup (60ml) milk of your choice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 large apple, peeled and diced
  • For the Glaze:
  • 1 ½ cups (180g) powdered sugar
  • 2–3 tablespoons milk of your choice

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, fine sea salt, and ground cinnamon.
  2. In another bowl, mix granulated sugar into the melted butter. Add the applesauce, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Combine the wet mixture with the dry ingredients, folding gently until just combined. Fold in diced apple pieces.
  4. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) and lightly spray the basket with cooking spray.
  5. Using a ¼-cup scoop, drop batter into the basket, allowing space for expansion.
  6. Air fry the fritters for 5-6 minutes, or until golden brown.
  7. While the fritters cool, whisk together powdered sugar and milk until smooth for the glaze.
  8. Drizzle the glaze over warm fritters before serving.
