Description

A delicious BBQ Chicken Pizza featuring sweet barbecue sauce and tender chicken on a crispy crust, topped with gooey cheese and aromatic ingredients.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb. refrigerated pizza dough
  • 2 cups cooked shredded chicken
  • 3/4 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella
  • 1/4 medium red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/3 cup shredded gouda
  • Pinch of crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 Tbsp. freshly chopped cilantro

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 500°F.
  2. Line two large baking sheets with parchment paper and lightly grease with cooking spray.
  3. In a medium bowl, mix shredded chicken with 1/4 cup of barbecue sauce.
  4. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface into a large circle.
  5. Transfer the dough to the baking sheet, spread 1/4 cup barbecue sauce, and layer half the chicken mixture.
  6. Top with mozzarella cheese, red onion, and gouda, adding crushed red pepper flakes if desired.
  7. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until the cheese bubbles and the crust is golden brown.
  8. Sprinkle fresh cilantro on top before serving.

Notes

For a lighter option, use low-sugar sauce or dairy-free cheese. Whole wheat crust can be a healthier alternative.
