Description

A vibrant and flavorful dish with tender beef slices and fresh vegetables, perfect for a quick meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb (450g) flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil, divided
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup carrots, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup snow peas or snap peas
  • 3 green onions, chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce (low sodium if preferred)
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce (optional)
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce or brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar or lime juice
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, mix together all the sauce ingredients until smooth.
  2. Add the sliced beef to the bowl and let it marinate for 10–15 minutes.
  3. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  4. Toss in the broccoli, carrots, and bell pepper. Stir fry for 3–4 minutes.
  5. Add the snow peas and cook for another 1–2 minutes, then set the vegetables aside.
  6. Pour the remaining tablespoon of oil into the pan. Add the marinated beef and cook for 2–3 minutes until browned.
  7. Add the garlic, ginger, and green onions to the beef. Stir fry for 30 seconds.
  8. Return the vegetables to the pan and pour in the reserved marinade. Toss everything together.
  9. Cook for another 1–2 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  10. Serve hot over steamed rice, noodles, or cauliflower rice.

Notes

Consider marinating the beef longer for deeper flavor. Customize vegetables based on preference.
