A vibrant and crunchy salad that captures the flavors of a classic Big Mac, making it a guilt-free indulgence.

Ingredients

  • Chopped iceberg lettuce
  • Very lean ground beef
  • Shredded Colby Jack cheese
  • Diced Roma tomatoes
  • Sliced red onion
  • Diced dill pickles
  • Thousand Island dressing

Instructions

  1. Chop iceberg lettuce into bite-sized pieces and place in a large salad bowl.
  2. In a large skillet, heat to medium-high and crumble in the ground beef, cooking until browned and crumbled.
  3. Drain excess fat from the beef and allow it to cool slightly.
  4. Layer the warm beef over the salad greens and sprinkle with cheese, tomatoes, onion, and pickles.
  5. Drizzle Thousand Island dressing over the salad and toss gently just before serving.

Notes

For a make-ahead option, prep toppings in advance and store separately. Use ground turkey or veggie crumbles as a substitute for a lighter alternative.
