Description

A vibrant melody of crunchy cabbage, sweet apples, and toasted nuts, blended with a zesty dressing, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 medium head green or red cabbage, shredded
  • 2 apples, sliced
  • 1/3 cup walnuts or pecans, toasted and chopped
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, shaved or 1/3 cup crumbled cheddar
  • 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Freshly cracked black pepper

Instructions

  1. Slice the cabbage and add to a large salad bowl.
  2. Slice the apples and add to the salad bowl.
  3. Toast the walnuts in a pan for about five minutes, chop them, and add to the salad.
  4. Combine dressing ingredients in a jar, shake until well mixed, and pour over salad.
  5. Sprinkle half of the cheese over the salad, toss gently, and let rest for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

For a healthier version, consider using a sugar-free honey substitute or omitting cheese for a dairy-free option.
