A sensational seafood delight featuring perfectly sautéed shrimp with a melange of Cajun spices and sweet hot honey.
Ingredients

- 1½ lbs raw jumbo shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1½ tbsp Cajun seasoning
- Black pepper, to taste
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 4 tbsp salted butter
- 3–4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh thyme (or 2 tsp dried)
- Zest and juice of 1 lemon
- ¼ cup honey
- 2 tbsp salted butter
- 1 tsp cayenne pepper
- ½ tsp chili powder
- ½ tsp smoked paprika
- Kosher salt to taste
Instructions
- Pat shrimp dry to ensure they are crispy.
- Toss shrimp with Cajun seasoning and black pepper in a bowl.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet.
- Sear shrimp for 2 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque.
- Add butter, garlic, thyme, and lemon zest; cook for 1–2 minutes until garlic is golden.
- Stir in lemon juice.
- In a small pan, melt honey, 2 tbsp butter, cayenne, chili powder, paprika, and salt over low heat to make a glaze.
- Drizzle hot honey over shrimp and serve with a sprinkle of flaky salt.
Notes
Avoid overbaking the shrimp to prevent them from becoming rubbery. Keep mise en place organized for ease of cooking.
