- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 cup plain breadcrumbs
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, diced onion, eggs, and half the cheese.
- Season the mixture with salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and any additional spices you desire.
- Shape the mixture into a loaf in the baking dish.
- Spread ketchup over the top and sprinkle the remaining cheese on top.
- Bake for approximately 60 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
- Allow the meatloaf to rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
Notes
For healthier alternatives, consider using turkey instead of beef and sugar-free ketchup.
