A delightful fusion of creamy cheesecake and moist banana bread, perfect for dessert or snack time.

- 16 oz full fat cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 Tablespoon all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs
- 1 egg white
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 6 Tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large or 3 small bananas, mashed (about 1 1/4 cups)
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 – 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon (to taste)
- 1/2 cup miniature chocolate chips
- 3 oz full fat cream cheese, softened
- 3 Tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cups powdered sugar, sifted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1–2 Tablespoons sour cream
- 1/3 cup chopped walnuts (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan with parchment paper.
- Grease the bottom and sides, then wrap the springform pan in two layers of aluminum foil.
- In a medium bowl, combine the cheesecake filling ingredients and mix until smooth.
- In another bowl, whisk together the wet ingredients for the banana bread layer.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Pour half the banana bread batter into the prepared pan, then spread half the cheesecake filling over it. Repeat this layering process.
- Place the springform pan in a larger roasting pan filled with hot water and bake for approximately 90 minutes.
- Allow to cool completely before serving.
Notes
Allow flavors to meld after cooling for the best taste.
