- 1 large round sourdough loaf
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
- Extra parsley or chives, finely chopped (for garnishing)
- A pinch of red pepper flakes
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with foil.
- In a small bowl, mix together melted butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, chives, salt, and black pepper. Set aside.
- Cut the sourdough loaf diagonally into 1-inch wide slices, leaving about 1/4 inch at the bottom to hold its shape.
- Turn the loaf 90 degrees and cut again diagonally to create a crosshatch pattern.
- Spread the garlic butter mixture into the cuts, ensuring every crevice is packed with flavor.
- Stuff the mozzarella, cheddar, and parmesan cheese evenly between the cuts.
- Wrap the bread loosely with aluminum foil and place it on the baking sheet.
- Bake for 15 minutes. Then unwrap and bake for an additional 8-10 minutes until the cheese is melted and golden.
- Remove from the oven and sprinkle with extra chopped herbs and a pinch of red pepper flakes. Serve hot.

Leftover bread can be frozen and reheated. Avoid overbaking to maintain the bread’s softness.
