Description

Indulge in this Cheesy Pull-Apart Garlic Bread, a comforting treat filled with melty cheese, warm garlic, and aromatic herbs.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh chives, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 large round sourdough loaf
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • Extra parsley or chives, finely chopped (for garnishing)
  • A pinch of red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with foil.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together melted butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, chives, salt, and black pepper. Set aside.
  3. Cut the sourdough loaf diagonally into 1-inch wide slices, leaving about 1/4 inch at the bottom to hold its shape.
  4. Turn the loaf 90 degrees and cut again diagonally to create a crosshatch pattern.
  5. Spread the garlic butter mixture into the cuts, ensuring every crevice is packed with flavor.
  6. Stuff the mozzarella, cheddar, and parmesan cheese evenly between the cuts.
  7. Wrap the bread loosely with aluminum foil and place it on the baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 15 minutes. Then unwrap and bake for an additional 8-10 minutes until the cheese is melted and golden.
  9. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with extra chopped herbs and a pinch of red pepper flakes. Serve hot.

Notes

Leftover bread can be frozen and reheated. Avoid overbaking to maintain the bread’s softness.
