Description

A comforting and creamy dish combining tender chicken with rich sauce and vibrant vegetables.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup mixed vegetables (carrots, peas, and bell peppers)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked rice for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent.
  2. Stir in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes. Gradually whisk in the chicken broth and heavy cream, cooking until the sauce thickens.
  3. Add the shredded chicken and mixed vegetables, cooking until heated through. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Serve the Chicken Fricassee over cooked rice, allowing the sauce to soak into the rice.

Notes

Consider adding lemon juice or fresh herbs for extra flavor. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to three days.
