  2. Cream the softened butter with both sugars until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.

  5. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips and rainbow sprinkles until evenly distributed.
  7. Scoop tablespoon-sized amounts of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about two inches apart.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set but the centers remain gooey.
