Description

A festive treat that combines the crispiness of saltine crackers with a luscious caramel layer and chocolate topping, perfect for holiday gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 sleeve Saltine Crackers (about 40 crackers)
  • 1 cup Unsalted Butter (softened)
  • 1 cup Light Brown Sugar (packed)
  • 2 cups Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
  • 1 cup Chopped Nuts (pecans or walnuts)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Arrange the saltine crackers in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  3. Melt the butter and brown sugar together in a saucepan over medium heat until bubbly, stirring continuously for about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Pour the caramel sauce evenly over the arranged crackers.
  5. Bake for 10-12 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
  6. Remove from the oven and sprinkle chocolate chips over the hot caramel, allowing them to melt for about 5 minutes.
  7. Spread the melted chocolate evenly across the surface and top with chopped nuts.
  8. Allow to cool completely before breaking into pieces.
