- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare your loaf pan with nonstick cooking spray.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the whole milk, large egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
- Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients, stirring gently until just combined.
- Pour the batter into your prepared loaf pan and bake for 60 to 70 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the loaf cool for about 10 minutes, then brush the top with melted butter and sprinkle with a mixture of sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
Notes
For mini loaves, divide the batter and bake for 30 to 35 minutes. Store in plastic wrap and foil up to five days in the refrigerator.
