Ingredients

  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup brewed espresso or strong coffee, cooled
  • 1/2 cup coffee liqueur (such as Kahlúa)
  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate wafer cookies, crushed into fine crumbs
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder for dusting
  • 1/4 cup chocolate shavings or grated chocolate for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine mascarpone cheese, heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Beat on medium speed until smooth and creamy, about 2-3 minutes.
  2. In a separate shallow dish, mix cooled espresso and coffee liqueur.
  3. Gradually fold crushed chocolate wafer cookies into the mascarpone mixture until combined.
  4. Roll portions of the mixture into 1-inch balls and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
