- 8 string cheese sticks (mozzarella)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup seasoned breadcrumbs
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Vegetable oil (for frying)
- Optional dipping sauces: marinara, ranch, or spicy aioli
Instructions
- Cut each mozzarella stick in half.
- Set up a breading station: place flour in one bowl, beaten eggs in a second bowl, and seasoned breadcrumbs mixed with Italian seasoning in a third bowl.
- Coat each cheese piece: dip in flour, then egg wash, and roll in breadcrumb mixture.
- Freeze the breaded sticks for at least 30 minutes on a parchment-lined tray.
- Heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).
- Fry mozzarella sticks for about 1-2 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Drain on paper towels and serve warm.
Notes
For a healthier alternative, consider baking the mozzarella sticks at 400°F (200°C) for 15-20 minutes.
