Description

A comforting and indulgent Crockpot French Dip made with slow-cooked beef chuck roast in rich au jus, served on French rolls.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 34 pounds beef chuck roast
  • 2 medium onions, sliced
  • 4 cups low sodium beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 6 sturdy French bread rolls
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Pat the beef chuck roast dry.
  2. Layer sliced onions at the bottom of the crockpot.
  3. In a bowl, mix together beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning.
  4. Pour the mixture over the beef and onions.
  5. Cover and cook on low for about eight hours or high for four hours.
  6. Once tender, shred the beef in the crockpot and stir through the juices.
  7. Serve the beef on toasted French bread rolls with warm au jus on the side.

Notes

Consider using lean cuts of beef and low-sodium broth for a healthier profile. Pair with crispy potato wedges or a vibrant salad.
