- 3–4 pounds beef chuck roast
- 2 medium onions, sliced
- 4 cups low sodium beef broth
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 6 sturdy French bread rolls
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Instructions
- Pat the beef chuck roast dry.
- Layer sliced onions at the bottom of the crockpot.
- In a bowl, mix together beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning.
- Pour the mixture over the beef and onions.
- Cover and cook on low for about eight hours or high for four hours.
- Once tender, shred the beef in the crockpot and stir through the juices.
- Serve the beef on toasted French bread rolls with warm au jus on the side.
