- 4 cups mashed potatoes

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef or lamb until browned, draining any excess fat.
- Add the chopped onion and diced carrots, cooking until softened.
- Stir in the frozen peas, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper; let simmer for about 5 minutes.
- Transfer the meat mixture to a baking dish, spreading it out evenly.
- Spread the mashed potatoes evenly on top of the meat mixture.
- If using, sprinkle shredded cheese over the mashed potatoes.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until heated through and golden on top.
- Allow cooling for a few minutes before serving.
