Description

Delicious muffins bursting with the vibrant flavor of fresh cherries, topped with a delightful crumbly streusel.


Ingredients

  • ¾ cup sour cream

  • ½ teaspoon almond extract
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen cherries, pitted and quartered

  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar (for the streusel topping)
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour (for the streusel topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a muffin tin with liners or grease it.
  2. In a small bowl, combine melted butter, sugar, and flour for the streusel topping; mix until crumbly.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together sour cream, sugar, eggs, melted butter, and almond extract.
  5. Pour wet mixture into dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined.
  6. Fold in quartered cherries.
