Description

Warm, pillowy rolls bathed in garlic butter, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons instant yeast
  • 1 1/2 cups warm water (110°F)
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic (minced)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine warm water and sugar; sprinkle instant yeast on top and let sit until bubbly, about 5 minutes.
  2. Add salt and melted butter to the yeast mixture.
  3. Mix in flour gradually until a soft dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm area for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  6. Punch down the dough, divide into 12 pieces, and shape each into a ball. Place on a greased baking sheet.
  7. Cover rolls and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  8. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake for 15-18 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Brush warm rolls with melted garlic butter before serving.

Notes

Best served warm; can be frozen for later use.
