- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons instant yeast
- 1 1/2 cups warm water (110°F)
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 4 cloves fresh garlic (minced)
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine warm water and sugar; sprinkle instant yeast on top and let sit until bubbly, about 5 minutes.
- Add salt and melted butter to the yeast mixture.
- Mix in flour gradually until a soft dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm area for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
- Punch down the dough, divide into 12 pieces, and shape each into a ball. Place on a greased baking sheet.
- Cover rolls and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake for 15-18 minutes until golden brown.
- Brush warm rolls with melted garlic butter before serving.
