Description

A hearty and nutritious bake combining ground beef, zucchini, and mozzarella cheese, perfect for a family-friendly meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 medium zucchinis, sliced
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Sauté the diced onion and minced garlic in a skillet over medium heat until translucent.
  3. Add the ground beef, cook until browned.
  4. Stir in the Italian seasoning, along with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Layer the zucchini slices in a baking dish, followed by the cooked meat mixture and then the diced tomatoes.
  6. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until zucchini is tender and cheese is bubbly.

Notes

You can add chopped bell peppers or mushrooms for extra flavor. For a spicier kick, use red pepper flakes.
