Description

Deliciously crispy wonton rolls filled with a creamy mixture of feta, ricotta, and honey, offering a sweet and savory flavor experience.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pack (12 ounces) of wonton wrappers
  • 8 ounces of feta cheese, crumbled
  • 1/2 cup of ricotta cheese
  • 1/4 cup of cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup of honey
  • 1 teaspoon of red pepper flakes
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1 small bunch of fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Vegetable oil, for frying

Instructions

  1. Mix the Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the crumbled feta cheese, ricotta cheese, and softened cream cheese until smooth.
  2. Add in the Flavor: Mix honey, red pepper flakes, olive oil, garlic powder, parsley, salt, and pepper into the cheese mixture until well combined.
  3. Prepare the Wontons: Place a wonton wrapper on a clean surface, spoon about 1 tablespoon of filling into the center.
  4. Seal the Wontons: Moisten the edges with water, fold in half to form a triangle, and press to seal tightly.
  5. Crimp for Decor: Use a fork to crimp the edges for a decorative touch.
  6. Heat the Oil: In a deep frying pan, heat vegetable oil to about 350°F (175°C).
  7. Fry to Perfection: Add wontons in batches and fry for 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Drain and Serve: Remove from oil, drain on paper towels, and optionally drizzle with honey and sprinkle with parsley before serving.

Notes

For a lighter option, bake the wontons at 375°F (190°C) for 15-20 minutes instead of frying.
