Description

A warm, moist slice of Strawberry Cake bursting with the sweet essence of summer strawberries, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two round cake pans.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, and sugar until fully combined.
  3. Cream the softened butter until light and fluffy. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Gradually stir in the whole milk until the mixture is smooth.
  5. Combine the dry and wet mixtures until just incorporated.
  6. Fold in half of the sliced strawberries.
  7. Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans and smooth the tops.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Allow the cakes to cool completely before frosting and topping with remaining strawberry slices.
