Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two round cake pans.
- In a medium bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, and sugar until fully combined.
- Cream the softened butter until light and fluffy. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Gradually stir in the whole milk until the mixture is smooth.
- Combine the dry and wet mixtures until just incorporated.
- Fold in half of the sliced strawberries.
- Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans and smooth the tops.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow the cakes to cool completely before frosting and topping with remaining strawberry slices.
