- 1 whole bone-in turkey breast
- 2 tablespoons kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1 stick unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, chopped
- 2 teaspoons fresh thyme, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C).
- Rinse the turkey breast under cold water and pat it dry.
- Mix kosher salt and black pepper, seasoning the turkey inside and out.
- Melt the butter and mix with garlic, rosemary, and thyme, rubbing it under the skin of the turkey.
- Place the turkey breast in a roasting pan, bone-side down.
- Roast for 1.5 hours or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- Let it rest for 20 minutes before carving and serving.
Notes
Brining the turkey breast before cooking can enhance flavor. Adding citrus slices inside the cavity can brighten the dish.
