Description

A delightful treat combining the crunch of pretzels, the creaminess of cheesecake, and the sweetness of fresh blackberries, making it a nostalgic comfort food.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup crushed pretzels
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup whipped topping
  • 2 cups fresh blackberries
  • 1/4 cup blackberry preserves
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the crushed pretzels, melted butter, and granulated sugar; mix well.
  3. Press the mixture into the bottom of a greased 9×13 inch pan.
  4. Bake for 10 minutes or until golden; allow to cool completely.
  5. In another bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with powdered sugar until smooth.
  6. Fold in the whipped topping until no streaks remain.
  7. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the cooled pretzel crust.
  8. For the topping, combine the blackberries, blackberry preserves, and lemon juice in a saucepan; cook over medium heat for 5-7 minutes until thickened.
  9. Pour the blackberry mixture over the cream cheese layer; refrigerate for at least 2 hours.

Notes

Use fresh blackberries for best results. You can mix in other berries for a colorful twist.
