Description

A nostalgic pizza recipe filled with gooey cheese, zesty sauce, and all your favorite toppings, perfect for family meals or gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 4 ½ cups bread flour
  • 2 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 ½ tsp kosher salt
  • 1 tsp granulated sugar
  • 1 (1/4 oz) packet instant yeast
  • Cooking spray
  • 1 Tbsp cornmeal
  • 1 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 lb shredded low moisture mozzarella
  • 24 thin slices pepperoni
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Oven and Dough: Preheat the oven to 425°F.
  2. Mix the Ingredients: In a stand mixer, combine flour, olive oil, salt, sugar, yeast, and warm water. Beat until smooth and elastic, about 8 to 10 minutes.
  3. Let the Dough Rise: Transfer dough to a greased bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and let it rise for 15 minutes.
  4. Shape the Dough: Roll out the dough on a floured surface into an 18″ x 13″ rectangle.
  5. Prepare the Sheet Pan: Sprinkle cornmeal on the baking sheet and transfer the rolled dough onto it.
  6. Add the Toppings: Spread pizza sauce on the dough, top with mozzarella, pepperoni, and Italian seasoning.
  7. Bake: Bake in the oven for 15 to 17 minutes until edges are browned and cheese is melted.

Notes

For a unique twist, consider adding vegetables or different types of cheese. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
