- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 cup Italian seasoned breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 large egg
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 4 soft hoagie rolls
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, salt, and pepper; mix gently.
- Roll the mixture into golf ball-sized meatballs and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Bake for about 20 minutes until golden brown.
- While meatballs bake, heat marinara sauce in a saucepan over medium-low heat.
- Once meatballs are done, add them to the sauce and let them simmer.
- Slice open hoagie rolls and fill with meatballs and sauce.
- Top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Broil under high heat for 2–4 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
Notes
Consider adding chopped fresh herbs or a pinch of red pepper flakes for extra flavor. Serve with a side of crispy fries or a light salad.
