Description

Delicious and satisfying meatball sandwiches filled with juicy meatballs, rich marinara sauce, and melted mozzarella cheese, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 cup Italian seasoned breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 4 soft hoagie rolls
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, salt, and pepper; mix gently.
  3. Roll the mixture into golf ball-sized meatballs and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  4. Bake for about 20 minutes until golden brown.
  5. While meatballs bake, heat marinara sauce in a saucepan over medium-low heat.
  6. Once meatballs are done, add them to the sauce and let them simmer.
  7. Slice open hoagie rolls and fill with meatballs and sauce.
  8. Top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
  9. Broil under high heat for 2–4 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.

Notes

Consider adding chopped fresh herbs or a pinch of red pepper flakes for extra flavor. Serve with a side of crispy fries or a light salad.
