Delightful crispy phyllo pastry filled with rich feta cheese and aromatic herbs, drizzled with chili-infused honey.

- 8 sheets phyllo pastry
- 200 g feta cheese, crumbled
- 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh mint, chopped
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- Freshly ground black pepper to taste
- 3 tablespoons olive oil, divided
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 tablespoon chili flakes
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, combine feta, dill, mint, lemon zest, and black pepper.
- Lay out one phyllo sheet and brush with olive oil, then place another sheet on top and brush again.
- Cut the layered phyllo sheets into 4 equal strips lengthwise.
- Spoon about one tablespoon of the feta mixture onto the end of each strip.
- Fold the sides over the filling and roll into a cylinder, sealing the filling inside.
- Place rolls seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
- Brush the tops with olive oil and repeat with remaining phyllo and filling.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
- For chili honey, combine honey, chili flakes, and lemon juice in a saucepan over low heat.
- Once baked, drizzle warm chili honey over the rolls before serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, add garlic powder to the feta mixture or brush with a paprika-olive oil mix before baking.
