Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 1/4 teaspoons (1 packet) unflavored gelatin
- 3 tablespoons cold water
- Fresh berries or fruit sauce for serving (optional)
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine the heavy cream, whole milk, and sugar. Heat over medium until the sugar dissolves without boiling.
- Remove from heat and mix in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, sprinkle gelatin over cold water and let it sit for 5 minutes to bloom.
- Add bloomed gelatin to the warm cream mixture, stirring until fully dissolved.
- Pour the mixture into molds or glasses, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 4 hours until set.
- To serve, run a knife around the mold edges to release the Panna Cotta and invert onto a plate, or serve directly in glasses. Top with fresh berries or fruit sauce.
Notes
Ensure the gelatin is properly bloomed and consider infusing flavors like lemon zest or coffee for a twist.
