Description

A delightful and indulgent dish featuring warm, gooey brie wrapped in flaky puff pastry, sweet jam, and fragrant sage leaves, perfect for gatherings or cozy evenings.


Ingredients

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry (thawed)
  • 1 small round of brie
  • 1/3 cup of jam (fig, berry, or cranberry sauce)
  • 4 sage leaves
  • Cooking twine

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Lay the brie on thawed puff pastry. Optional: scrape off the rind for an extra gooey indulgence.
  3. Cut a wide circle around the brie and set it aside.
  4. Knead leftover pastry into a base layer.
  5. Roll a small piece for a stem to create a pumpkin shape.
  6. Add jam in the center of the dough.
  7. Place the brie over the jam.
  8. Wrap pastry over the brie, capturing all that deliciousness inside.
  9. Tie with four pieces of twine to form a pumpkin.
  10. Flip over and bake for 15-20 minutes.
  11. Remove the twine, add the pastry stem.
  12. Top with sage leaves and serve warm.

Best served warm. If you have leftovers, store them in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
