Description

A delightful treat that combines the buttery flakiness of puff pastry with creamy cheesecake and tangy raspberry preserves.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package puff pastry
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup raspberry preserves
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface and cut into squares.
  3. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Place a spoonful of cream cheese mixture and a teaspoon of raspberry preserves in the center of each square.
  5. Fold the corners of the pastry over the filling and seal edges tightly.
  6. Brush the pastries with beaten egg.
  7. Place on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
  8. Let cool, then dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

Ensure cream cheese is at room temperature for easier mixing. Mix in lemon zest for added flavor, or use different fruit preserves.
