  • 3 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded smoked gouda cheese
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon mustard powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your smoker or grill to 225°F.
  2. Cook elbow macaroni in salted boiling water until al dente, about 7-8 minutes. Drain.
  3. Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Whisk in flour until smooth, cooking for 1 minute.
  4. Gradually add milk, whisking continuously until thickened (about 5 minutes).
