Ingredients

- 3 cups powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

- 2 tablespoons milk
- Food coloring (optional)
Instructions
- Cream the butter until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes.
- Gradually mix in powdered sugar on low speed until incorporated.
- Add vanilla extract and mix until blended.
- Slowly pour in milk, one tablespoon at a time, until desired consistency is reached.
- If desired, stir in food coloring for vibrancy.
- Spread the frosting over cooled sugar cookies and enjoy!
Notes
This frosting can also be used for cakes and brownies. Store any leftover frosting in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.
