- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup Thai basil leaves, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon fish sauce
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 8 rice paper sheets
- Lettuce leaves for wrapping
- Fresh cilantro leaves for garnish
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped Thai basil, minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, oyster sauce, fish sauce, sugar, and black pepper. Mix until well blended.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat, add vegetable oil, and cook the beef mixture for 5-7 minutes until browned. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Prepare a shallow dish of warm water. Dip one rice paper sheet for 10-15 seconds until soft. Lay flat on a clean surface.
- Place a lettuce leaf and a spoonful of the beef mixture on the rice paper. Fold in sides and roll tightly. Repeat with remaining sheets and filling.
- Arrange beef rolls on a platter and garnish with cilantro leaves. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce.

Ensure the rice paper is not overly soaked and use fresh herbs for garnish.
