- 1 pound lean ground turkey
- 1 egg
- 3 tablespoons chopped parsley
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon canola oil or avocado oil
- 1 large red onion, peeled and sliced into rounds
- 4 hamburger buns
Instructions
- Heat a cast iron skillet or another large skillet over medium-high heat.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, egg, parsley, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir until well mixed.
- Form four equal-sized patties with the mixture.
- Lightly spray the skillet with cooking spray.
- Carefully place the patties into the skillet and allow them to cook for 3 minutes.
- Flip the patties gently and press down with a spatula.
- Cook for another 2 to 3 minutes until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F.
- Grill onion rounds on medium-high heat for 3 minutes on each side until tender.
- Assemble the burgers with patties, grilled onions, and desired toppings.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
Avoid overcrowding the skillet for even cooking. Use a meat thermometer to check the patties for doneness.
