Description

Juicy and flavorful Turkey Burgers are a wholesome twist on the classic hamburger, perfect for family dinners and summer barbecues.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound lean ground turkey
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tablespoons chopped parsley
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon canola oil or avocado oil
  • 1 large red onion, peeled and sliced into rounds
  • 4 hamburger buns

Instructions

  1. Heat a cast iron skillet or another large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, egg, parsley, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir until well mixed.
  3. Form four equal-sized patties with the mixture.
  4. Lightly spray the skillet with cooking spray.
  5. Carefully place the patties into the skillet and allow them to cook for 3 minutes.
  6. Flip the patties gently and press down with a spatula.
  7. Cook for another 2 to 3 minutes until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F.
  8. Grill onion rounds on medium-high heat for 3 minutes on each side until tender.
  9. Assemble the burgers with patties, grilled onions, and desired toppings.
  10. Serve immediately.

Notes

Avoid overcrowding the skillet for even cooking. Use a meat thermometer to check the patties for doneness.
