Fudgy brownies blended with leftover Halloween treats for a delicious and nostalgic dessert.

- ½ cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 1 tablespoon oil (canola, vegetable, or melted coconut oil)
- 1 ¼ cups granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder (dark preferred)
- ¼ teaspoon salt (plus extra pinch for topping)
- 2 teaspoons espresso powder (optional)
- 1 ½ cups leftover Halloween candy, roughly chopped
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a square baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, oil, and granulated sugar for 2–3 minutes.
- Add in the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing on low speed until just combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, espresso powder (if using), and salt.
- Fold the dry ingredient mixture into the wet ingredients until just incorporated.
- Gently fold in 1 cup of chopped Halloween candy and spread into the prepared baking pan.
- Sprinkle the remaining candy on top of the batter.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes until the center is set but still soft. Allow to cool completely before slicing.
Notes
For a lighter version, use sugar substitutes or dairy-free alternatives for the butter. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days.
