- 3 cups unsweetened almond milk
- 1/2 cup raw cashews (soaked)
- 4 medjool dates (pitted)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 pinch sea salt
- Ice cubes (for serving)
- Optional: 1–2 oz bourbon or rum per serving
Instructions
- Soak the cashews in hot water for 20–30 minutes or overnight in cold water. Drain and rinse.
- In a high-speed blender, combine almond milk, soaked cashews, medjool dates, vanilla extract, nutmeg, cinnamon, and sea salt.
- Blend on high speed for 1–2 minutes until smooth and creamy.
- Taste and adjust the sweetness or spices as needed.
- Transfer to a pitcher and chill in the fridge for at least one hour.
- Serve cold over ice, garnished with nutmeg and a cinnamon stick.
- For optional alcoholic twist, stir in bourbon or rum just before serving.
