Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground chicken
- 1 cup fresh spinach, chopped
- 1 cup sharp white cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 burger buns
- Optional toppings: lettuce, tomato slices, avocado, red onion, mayonnaise
Instructions
- Combine ground chicken, spinach, cheddar, breadcrumbs, garlic, onion powder, salt, and black pepper in a mixing bowl. Mix until evenly distributed.
- Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape each into a 1/2-inch thick patty.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken patties, ensuring not to overcrowd.
- Cook patties for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and their internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Toast burger buns in the oven or on a griddle.
- Assemble burgers with patties on toasted buns and desired toppings.
- Serve burgers with mayonnaise or preferred condiments.
Notes
Use fresh ground chicken for best flavor. Refrigerating the patties for 30 minutes before cooking helps them hold their shape.
