Description

Delicious, crispy fries bursting with flavor from cayenne pepper and Parmesan cheese, perfect for any gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 medium Russet potatoes
  • 4 cups vegetable oil (for frying)
  • 2 tsp cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 green onions (chopped, for garnish)
  • 2 tbsp hot sauce (your choice)

Instructions

  1. Wash and peel the Russet potatoes.
  2. Cut them into even strips.
  3. Soak the cut potatoes in cold water for 30 minutes.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a deep pot or fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Fry the soaked potatoes in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes per batch.
  6. Remove fries and place on paper towels; season immediately with cayenne pepper, garlic powder, and salt.
  7. Serve fries on a platter, drizzled with hot sauce and topped with Parmesan cheese and green onions.

Notes

For extra crispiness, soak the potatoes longer and avoid overcrowding the fryer.
