Description

An irresistible combination of crispy tortillas filled with rich, cheesy seafood and topped with a luscious garlic cream sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 small flour tortillas
  • 1 cup cooked shrimp, chopped
  • 1 cup cooked crab meat, shredded
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup green onions, finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine chopped shrimp, crab meat, and mozzarella cheese. Add softened cream cheese, green onions, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  2. Lay a flour tortilla on a clean surface and spoon 2-3 tablespoons of the seafood mixture in the center. Fold sides over the filling and roll tightly.
  3. In a skillet, heat 1/2 inch of vegetable oil over medium heat until hot.
  4. Fry each tortilla seam-side down until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes on each side. Drain on paper towels.
  5. For the garlic cream sauce, melt butter in a saucepan. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant. Pour in heavy cream and whisk until blended. Add red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper, simmering for 3-4 minutes.
  6. Serve tortilla bombs drizzled with garlic cream sauce and garnished with parsley.

Notes

For a lighter version, consider using low-fat cream cheese and baking instead of frying.
