Description
An irresistible combination of crispy tortillas filled with rich, cheesy seafood and topped with a luscious garlic cream sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 small flour tortillas
- 1 cup cooked shrimp, chopped
- 1 cup cooked crab meat, shredded
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup green onions, finely chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Vegetable oil for frying
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine chopped shrimp, crab meat, and mozzarella cheese. Add softened cream cheese, green onions, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Lay a flour tortilla on a clean surface and spoon 2-3 tablespoons of the seafood mixture in the center. Fold sides over the filling and roll tightly.
- In a skillet, heat 1/2 inch of vegetable oil over medium heat until hot.
- Fry each tortilla seam-side down until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes on each side. Drain on paper towels.
- For the garlic cream sauce, melt butter in a saucepan. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant. Pour in heavy cream and whisk until blended. Add red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper, simmering for 3-4 minutes.
- Serve tortilla bombs drizzled with garlic cream sauce and garnished with parsley.
Notes
For a lighter version, consider using low-fat cream cheese and baking instead of frying.
