Description

Rich and velvety Chocolate Sorbet, the ultimate indulgent dessert that combines elegance with simplicity.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp instant espresso powder (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the water, granulated sugar, cocoa powder, and salt. Whisk over medium heat until everything dissolves and the mixture begins simmering.
  2. Once simmering, add the dark chocolate chips and whisk until they melt into a smooth, glossy liquid.
  3. Allow the mixture to simmer for about 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract. Blend until velvety smooth, and then let it cool.
  4. Refrigerate the mixture for at least 4 hours, allowing it to chill thoroughly.
  5. After chilling, churn the mixture in an ice cream maker for 20-25 minutes until it takes on a creamy texture.
  6. Freeze the sorbet in an airtight container for at least 2 hours before serving.
