Description

A colorful and enchanting pull-apart bread that encapsulates the joys of spring and family gatherings, perfect for Easter brunch or any festive occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups bread flour
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 1/4 cup melted unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Gel-based food coloring

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix the warm milk and sugar, then sprinkle the yeast on top. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Stir in the melted butter and salt.
  3. Gradually add the bread flour until combined, then knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8 minutes.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise in a warm spot for about 1 hour or until doubled.
  5. Punch down the dough, divide it into portions, and color each piece with gel-based food coloring.
  6. Shape the dough into small balls and layer them in a greased bundt or loaf pan. Cover for another 30 minutes to rise.
  7. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for approximately 35 minutes until golden brown.

Notes

For a lighter version, consider reducing sugar or using natural sweeteners. You can also use dairy-free milk and butter alternatives.
