Description

Indulgent brownies shaped like footballs, perfect for game day gatherings or any celebration.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box brownie mix, plus ingredients called for on the box
  • 1/3 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 2 Tbsp. Baileys Irish Cream
  • 2/3 cup powdered sugar
  • 3 1/2 tsp. milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9-inch x 13-inch pan with parchment paper. Prepare the brownie mix according to the instructions on the box, then pour the batter into the prepared pan. Bake until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, typically 20 to 23 minutes. Let the brownies cool completely in the pan.
  2. Once cooled, cut football-shaped brownies out of the baked brownies, allowing the savory aroma to awaken your senses, and place them on a cooling rack set over a baking sheet.
  3. In a heatproof bowl, place the semisweet chocolate chips. Heat the heavy cream in a microwave until hot, about 40 seconds. Pour the heated cream over the chocolate chips, let it sit for 3 minutes, and then stir until creamy and lump-free. Add the Baileys Irish Cream and stir until smooth.
  4. Dip each brownie in the rich chocolate ganache, ensuring every nook is enveloped in that delectable mixture. Place them in the refrigerator to set for about 30 minutes.
  5. For the icing, combine the powdered sugar and milk in a small bowl, stir until thoroughly blended. Transfer the icing into a piping bag or resealable plastic bag, cut a very small hole in the tip, and decorate each brownie with laces. Return the tray to the refrigerator to harden for 5 minutes more.

Notes

Store brownies in an airtight container for up to 3 days. For longer storage, freeze portions wrapped tightly and thaw at room temperature when ready to eat.
