- 2 cups fresh orange juice
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Instructions
- Juice the fresh oranges until you have about two cups of juice.
- In a saucepan over low heat, combine 1 cup of water and 1 cup of sugar, stirring until it dissolves into a syrup.
- Once cooled, mix the sugar syrup with the orange juice and lemon juice in a large bowl.
- Pour the mixture into an airtight container and freeze for about 2 hours, stirring with a fork every 30 minutes.
- Leave the sorbet in the freezer for an additional 3 hours or until fully frozen.
- Scoop into bowls or glasses and garnish with mint leaves if desired.
Notes
Opt for fresh-squeezed juice for the best flavor. Stir the sorbet every 30 minutes during freezing to achieve a smooth texture.
