Description

A refreshing and easy-to-make orange sorbet, perfect for hot summer days.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh orange juice
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Juice the fresh oranges until you have about two cups of juice.
  2. In a saucepan over low heat, combine 1 cup of water and 1 cup of sugar, stirring until it dissolves into a syrup.
  3. Once cooled, mix the sugar syrup with the orange juice and lemon juice in a large bowl.
  4. Pour the mixture into an airtight container and freeze for about 2 hours, stirring with a fork every 30 minutes.
  5. Leave the sorbet in the freezer for an additional 3 hours or until fully frozen.
  6. Scoop into bowls or glasses and garnish with mint leaves if desired.

Notes

Opt for fresh-squeezed juice for the best flavor. Stir the sorbet every 30 minutes during freezing to achieve a smooth texture.
