Description

Savory bites of fluffy bread infused with Parmesan cheese, garlic, and herbs, perfect as an appetizer or snack.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup minced fresh parsley (or 2 tablespoons dried parsley)
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, red pepper flakes (if using), and baking powder.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the melted unsalted butter and the egg until well combined, adding fresh parsley if using.
  4. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until a dough forms, adjusting with more flour if necessary.
  5. Form the dough into bite-sized balls, about 1 inch in diameter, and place on the baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and slightly firm to the touch.
  7. Remove from the oven and cool slightly before transferring to a wire rack.
  8. Serve warm as an appetizer or snack.
