Description

A delightful, festive treat featuring creamy peppermint ice cream mixed with chocolate and candy canes, perfect for the holiday season.


Ingredients

  • 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 4 ounces white chocolate, chopped
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream, cold
  • 5 (1.55 ounce) Hershey’s chocolate bars, chopped (7.75 oz chocolate)
  • 1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons crushed peppermint candy canes

Instructions

  1. Line a 9” x 5” loaf pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract.
  3. Melt the chopped white chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  4. Gradually whisk the melted white chocolate into the sweetened condensed milk mixture.
  5. Whip the cold heavy whipping cream in a separate bowl until stiff peaks form.
  6. Fold half the whipped cream into the sweetened milk mixture, then add the remaining whipped cream.
  7. Carefully fold in the chopped chocolate and crushed candy canes.
  8. Pour the mixture into the prepared loaf pan, cover, and freeze for 4 to 6 hours or overnight until firm.

Notes

For a creamier texture, add a splash of oil to the melted white chocolate if it thickens. Customize your flavors by swapping candy canes or adding extra peppermint extract.
