- 1/4 cup packed light brown sugar
- 2 large eggs, room temperature
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 8 oz. cream cheese, room temperature
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup canned pumpkin puree
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
- 1 tsp. pure vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp. kosher salt
- Unsweetened cocoa powder, for dusting (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease an 8×8 metal baking pan with cooking spray and line with foil for easy removal.
- Melt the butter in a small pot over medium heat, then remove from heat.
- Stir in chopped chocolate until smooth.
- Mix in pure vanilla extract, espresso powder, and kosher salt.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together granulated sugar and light brown sugar.
- Combine the chocolate mixture with sugars, whisking until smooth.
- Add eggs one at a time, whisking well after each addition.
- Gently fold in flour and cocoa powder until combined, being careful not to overmix.
- In another bowl, beat cream cheese on medium-high speed until smooth.
- Add remaining cheesecake ingredients and blend until combined.
- Pour brownie batter into the pan, then top with cheesecake batter without mixing.
- Bake for 40 to 50 minutes until set, and a toothpick comes out with a few crumbs.
- Allow to cool before slicing, and dust with cocoa powder if desired.
Notes
Can be frozen for up to three months. Thaw in the fridge overnight for best results.
